Synopsis

The Love Live! franchise goes full 3DCG for the first time, and it's set in one of the most visually rich locations yet — Kanazawa, with its historic streets and traditional arts scene. Kaho Hinoshita is a third-year co-president of the school idol club at Hasunosora Girls' Academy, and she's trying to pull together a major performance called the Bloom Garden Party alongside her friend Sayaka Murano, a figure skater branching out into idol territory, and Ginko Momose, who brings traditional dance into the mix. The setup is pretty classic Love Live! — a group of girls with different talents and personalities working toward a shared stage — but this one leans into the bittersweet reality that some of them are about to graduate. The film tracks real-time progression of their school lives, so the stakes around this event feel grounded rather than manufactured. Studio Sublimation handles the animation, and if you've seen their 3D work, you know they don't phone it in. The vibe is wholesome and warm, focused on friendship and what it means to pour yourself into something before time runs out. If you liked Love Live! The School Idol Movie or the Nijigasaki series for the emotional core underneath the performances, this hits that same spot. Fans of Love Live! Sunshine!! Over the Rainbow will also find familiar territory in the graduation-era tension. It's a quieter, more reflective entry in the franchise, and that's kind of what makes it worth your time.

The culmination of three years with the Hasunosora cast, and the graduation of the members of the 103 cohort. The movie is filled with fanservice for fans who have been invested in Hasunosora for the past years but it's still watchable as a newcomer, since it introduces the cast from the perspective of an outsider.
