Love Get Chu
Oshimeter
Synopsis
A voice acting school in Tokyo draws in five girls, each with a completely different reason for being there. Momoko wants to meet her favorite voice actor and is absolutely not subtle about it. Rinka honestly doesn't have a strong reason — she's just kind of drifting. Yurika lives and breathes anime. Tsubasa has spent so long playing male roles that feminine parts feel foreign to her. And Amane is a former actress who hit a wall and needs a reset. That's your cast, and the show just lets them be messy and real about their ambitions from the start. The setting — Lambda Eight, a competitive voice acting training school in Tokyo — gives the story a lot of natural tension without forcing drama. You get a peek into auditions, vocal training, and the weird social ecosystem of the entertainment world, all through a comedic and low-stakes lens with some light romance threaded through. If you enjoyed the behind-the-scenes industry detail in Seiyu's Life or the personal reinvention arc in Skip Beat, this covers similar ground with a warmer, more ensemble-focused tone. It's not trying to be intense. It's a 25-episode character hang where the showbiz backdrop gives everyone room to grow. The comedy lands because the characters are genuinely distinct, not just archetypes filling seats. Worth watching if you like your slice-of-life with a little professional ambition mixed in.
