馃摉 SYNOPSIS
"Lotus Lantern" tells the story of Chenxiang, a young boy whose life is upended by his uncle, Erlang Shen. Chenxiang's mother, a goddess, was punished for her relationship with his mortal father, who was killed by Erlang Shen. After giving birth to Chenxiang, she is imprisoned by her brother. Unaware of his ancestry, Chenxiang is later kidnapped by his uncle and forced to live in his palace on the sacred mountains.
Chenxiang escapes, taking with him the magical Lotus Lantern, a source of light that can ward off evil. He then embarks on a series of adventures, encountering various characters from Chinese mythology. As he matures, Chenxiang must confront his uncle in a battle to free his mother. The story explores themes of family, courage, and the struggle against oppression, all set within a rich mythological framework.
