Born blind and bearing something called the Hero's Scar, Kunon Gurion could have easily accepted his fate and moved on like most people in his world. But Kunon decides he's going to do something nobody has ever done before — use water magic to literally create new eyes for himself. The kid picks up magic and within five months he's already outpaced his teacher, which is wild enough on its own.
