Koikeya SDGs Theater Suss & Tina Season 6
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Ninja sisters Suss and Tina guard a fictional island from monsters that are literally named after the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. That's the setup for Koikeya SDGs Gekijou Suss to Tina, and by season 6, the show has fully leaned into its own weird charm. Suss and Tina, along with their AI robot buddy Bull, use a mix of classic ninja tactics and modern tech to take down creatures representing things like pollution, inequality, and food waste. The early episodes of this season establish a new wave of SDG monsters threatening Hexagon Island, and the trio has to pull from global knowledge and quick thinking to handle them. It's short-form — 13 episodes that you can breeze through — so there's zero filler. Every episode is a self-contained little action-comedy problem to solve. The vibe sits somewhere between Ninja Nonsense's goofy energy and Katanagatari's love of clever dialogue over brute force, though obviously on a much smaller scale. If you liked Kill la Kill's approach of wrapping genuine themes inside ridiculous action, this does something similar with real-world sustainability issues. It's a branded series from Koikeya (yes, the snack company), and honestly that context makes it even more entertaining. Studio Garage Film keeps the animation punchy and the comedy fast. Not every anime needs to be a 24-episode commitment, and sometimes a quick, goofy ninja show that sneaks in actual education is exactly the right pace.
