📖 SYNOPSIS
Picture this: women standing on floating platforms, launching each other into the water using only their breasts and butts. That's the actual sport, it's called keijo, and the show treats it with the same dead-serious intensity as any tournament arc you've ever seen. Nozomi Kaminashi is a talented gymnast who could probably go pro in any sport she wants, but she chooses keijo because the prize money is ridiculous. She enrolls in an elite training academy where she meets Sayaka Miyata, a judo prodigy looking for something new, and a cast of rivals who all have their own absurd signature techniques. The thing about Keijo is that it knows exactly what it is. The premise is completely ridiculous, and instead of winking at the camera, the show commits harder. Characters train like they're preparing for the Olympics, develop named special moves with straight-faced dramatic flair, and the animation from Xebec genuinely goes hard during matches. It's a parody of sports anime tropes that somehow works as an actual sports anime at the same time. The 12 episodes move fast through training and tournament arcs, and the fights are legitimately creative and fun to watch. If you liked the absurd energy of Punch Line or the way Birdie Wing takes a silly premise and runs with it completely seriously, this is in that same lane. It's dumb in the best possible way, and it never pretends otherwise.
