📖 SYNOPSIS

"Kappa no Suribachi" tells the story of a kappa and his mother living a solitary life by a river. They develop friendships with the children of a nearby village. However, a tragic accident involving a child leads the villagers to hold the kappa family responsible. Facing potential elimination, the kappa family's fate takes a turn when a devastating plague sweeps through the village, causing widespread illness and death. The kappa family possesses a cure, utilizing the mother's medicinal knowledge and a special mortar found deep underwater to create a life-saving potion. With the villagers' lives hanging in the balance, the kappa family's actions become critical. The anime explores themes of prejudice, blame, and the potential for forgiveness, asking whether the two groups can overcome their past and find reconciliation after the crisis.
