📖 SYNOPSIS
"Kanashiki Debu Neko-chan" follows the life of Maru, a cat adopted by a girl named Anna and her family in Matsuyama city. Living a life of comfort, Maru grows increasingly round, spending his days observing the garden from the window. His idyllic existence is disrupted when the family brings home Cerisier, another cat, and begins to shower it with attention. Maru's jealousy boils over, leading to a confrontation with Cerisier. During the ensuing conflict, the family's words wound Maru, causing him to seek guidance from another cat. Following this advice, Maru decides to leave his home and embark on a journey to see the world beyond his familiar surroundings. The anime explores themes of jealousy, belonging, and self-discovery.
