Kagurabachi

Synopsis
Growing up watching his father forge legendary swords in the mountains, life was quiet for Chihiro Rokuhira — and he was happy with it. Then a sorcerer organization called the Hishaku shows up, kills his father, and steals the six enchanted blades that once ended a war. What's left behind is Chihiro, his grief, and one secret sword his father never told anyone about. Kagurabachi drops you into a dark urban fantasy where traditional swordsmanship and modern sorcery genuinely feel like they belong in the same world. The power system revolves around those enchanted blades, each with its own unique ability, and the fights are built around that — less about raw power, more about what each weapon can do and how Chihiro learns to use his inheritance. The tone is consistently grim without being grimdark for shock value. It earns its intensity. If you got into Demon Slayer for the swordwork and the emotional weight of a revenge story, this covers similar ground with a harder edge. If Jujutsu Kaisen's blend of sorcery and brutal action is your thing, Kagurabachi sits in that same neighborhood but leans more into the personal vendetta angle. Bleach fans will recognize the lone swordsman energy, updated with sharper animation and tighter pacing. It's a shounen revenge story with craft behind it — both in the literal swordsmithing and in how the series is put together.
