Jochum Season 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
A black fox, a blue fox, a literal microphone with legs, a rabbit, and seven other anthropomorphic characters live together in a pastel-colored world where the biggest conflicts involve friendship hiccups and figuring out teamwork. That's Jochum, and its second season picks up right where the first left off. Here's the thing: each character is actually a mascot representing a member of the Japanese boy band JO1, designed in collaboration with Sanrio. So if you've ever thought "what if my favorite idol was a cute animal doing slice-of-life stuff," this is exactly that. The episodes are short, which makes it easy to throw on when you have a few minutes and just want something warm and low-stakes. The vibe is pure wholesome. PiHai the black fox and Rain the blue fox bounce off each other nicely, Chimata the rabbit brings chaotic energy, and Micoon — again, a microphone — somehow has more personality than characters in shows ten times this length. The early episodes of season two focus on reintroducing everyone and their quirks before setting up whatever new adventures are coming. If you liked Aggretsuko's anthropomorphic charm but want something gentler, or if Bananya's cozy energy was your thing, this fits that niche. Fans of Sanrio Boys will also find familiar territory here, just with more fox ears and less high school drama. It's comfort food anime, plain and simple.
