After being ousted from the Hero Party for lacking skills, the adaptable Orn, formerly a Swordsman turned Enchanter, embarks on a new adventure to prove his unconventional strength.

📖 SYNOPSIS

Orn Doula spent years setting aside his swordsmanship to play Enchanter for the Hero Party, filling a role nobody else wanted. His reward? Getting kicked out and called a jack of all trades, master of none. Classic hero party politics.

This 12-episode TV series follows Orn as he goes back to adventuring solo, except now he's not just a swordsman — he's a swordsman who spent years developing enchantment magic from scratch. The combination turns out to be way more dangerous than anyone expected, least of all the party that dumped him. The early episodes do a good job of letting Orn rediscover what he's actually capable of without rushing it, and the fight scenes lean into tactical planning rather than just raw power escalation. There's real thought put into how his hybrid skillset changes the way battles play out.

The tone is action-packed but grounded in this thread of self-worth and resilience — Orn isn't out for revenge, he's just trying to figure out who he is when he's not bending himself into whatever shape someone else needs. If you liked The Rising of the Shield Hero's wrongfully-dismissed protagonist energy or Arifureta's "underestimated guy becomes a problem" setup, this hits similar notes but with more emphasis on strategic combat than sheer overpowering everything. Studio animation studio42 handles the source light novel, and at 12 episodes it doesn't overstay its welcome.
