I''s Pure

Synopsis
For as long as he can remember, Ichitaka Seto has nursed a hopeless crush on his classmate Iori Yoshizuki, but he can barely string a sentence together around her. She's gorgeous, she's popular, she literally has a fan club — and he's just some guy quietly losing his mind every time she walks by. Then fate throws him a bone: they both get assigned to organize the Freshmen Welcoming Party together. Finally, a chance to actually talk to her, maybe even get closer. Things are looking up until his childhood friend Itsuki shows up from the States, and suddenly his love life goes from "maybe possible" to "emotionally complicated." This 6-episode OVA is based on Masakazu Katsura's manga, and the short format actually works in its favor — no filler, no dragging things out, just a tight character-driven story about the messy reality of teenage feelings. It's romantic and funny but doesn't shy away from the awkward, painful parts of trying to figure out relationships when you're young and have no idea what you're doing. If you liked the romantic tension in Love Hina or the emotional weight of Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, this hits a similar nerve but in a more condensed package. Fans of Ichigo 100% will also feel right at home with the love triangle dynamics. It's a classic early-2000s romance that does what it sets out to do without overstaying its welcome.
