In the Clear Moonlit Dusk
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Every girl at school calls Yoi Takiguchi a 'prince' the moment she walks down a hallway. Tall, deep-voiced, effortlessly cool — she looks like a shoujo manga love interest, except she's actually a first-year girl who just wants to go about her day without the fanclub treatment. Then she meets Kohaku Ichimura, the school's other 'prince,' a second-year who's rich, charming, and completely shameless about doing whatever he wants. The twist? He's the first person to look at Yoi and call her beautiful — not handsome, not cool, but beautiful. And that one word throws her entire self-image off balance. This TV series is a shoujo romance built around two people who wear the same label but couldn't be more different underneath it. Yoi is guarded and quietly frustrated by how people see her, while Kohaku is loose and carefree in a way that keeps catching her off guard. The dynamic between them has this gentle push-and-pull where he sees her as she actually is, and she has to figure out what that even means to her. There's real tenderness in how the story handles identity and self-perception without ever getting heavy-handed about it. If you liked the gender-play humor of Ouran High School Host Club or the strong-willed heroine energy of Maid Sama, this is in that lane but with a quieter, more introspective touch. Fans of Special A will appreciate the rival-to-romance tension too. It's warm, it's youthful, and it earns its feelings honestly.
