At 16 years old, Keisuke Saji has an overactive imagination and exactly one goal: getting the attention of Akira Koizumi, a girl who genuinely cannot stand him — or any man, for that matter. Her response to his advances is less "polite rejection" and more "immediate physical violence." Most guys would take the hint. Saji is not most guys. He keeps coming back, completely unfazed, which somehow makes the whole thing funnier rather than sadder. The setup is a classic tsundere dynamic taken to a cartoonish extreme, and the show leans into that absurdity without pretending to be something deeper. Each of the 16 episodes runs short, so the whole thing moves quickly and never overstays its welcome. The humor is firmly in ecchi territory — risqué, lightweight, and more focused on getting a laugh than building real tension. Think of it as sitting in the same neighborhood as Golden Boy or Colorful: not subtle, not trying to be, but committed to its bit. If you liked the breezy, unapologetically goofy energy of those shows, Iketeru Futari scratches a similar itch. It is a late-90s J.C.Staff production adapted from manga, and it wears that era's sensibilities openly. Going in expecting a rom-com with rough edges and a lot of slapstick will land you exactly where the show wants you.
