I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Leticia Dorman was only seven years old when she was engaged to Crown Prince Clarke — and she's been miserable about it ever since. Not because of him, exactly, but because becoming a future queen means endless etiquette lessons, rigid schedules, and zero freedom — basically the opposite of the wild, carefree kid she used to be. So when Clarke shows up to a royal ball with some mystery woman on his arm, Leticia doesn't cry. She celebrates. She packs her bags and bolts to the countryside, ready to finally live a normal, peaceful life. There's just one problem: Clarke follows her, insists the engagement is still very much on, and apparently has no intention of letting her go. What follows is a 12-episode TV series of comedic tug-of-war between a woman desperate for freedom and a prince who's suddenly way more interested in her now that she's running away. The dynamic between them is genuinely fun — Leticia isn't a pushover, and Clarke isn't a villain, which gives the whole thing a warm, playful energy rather than anything frustrating. It's a fresh spin on the runaway bride setup with a royal coat of paint. If you enjoyed the romantic comedy beats of something like Ojousama no Untenshu, or you're into lighthearted romance where the leads have great back-and-forth chemistry like in Ojisan to Marshmallow, this one fits that vibe nicely. Adapted from a manga and animated by EMT Squared, it's a breezy watch for when you want something comedic and romantic without anything too heavy.
