Honkai: Star Rail - Ichor of Two Dragons
Oshimeter
Synopsis
As the Imbibitor Lunae, Dan Feng held the title of highest spiritual authority of the Vidyadhara — a dragon-blooded race living aboard the Xianzhou, a massive starship drifting through the cosmos. Instead, he became the catalyst for a catastrophe that threatened everything his people held sacred. This ONA digs into one of the most pivotal and tragic chapters from Honkai: Star Rail's lore, and it hits different when you actually see it animated rather than just reading data bank entries in the game. The setup is deceptively simple: ancient oaths, political alliances between five dragon lineages, and a leader who crosses a line that can't be uncrossed. The Cloud Knights and Vidyadhara Preceptors mobilize against one of their own, and what unfolds is a story about duty colliding with desperation. It's got that same weight as Fate/Zero — where you understand why someone makes a terrible choice even as everything falls apart around them. The Eastern mythology blended with far-future sci-fi gives it a Thunderbolt Fantasy energy too, where tradition and spectacle coexist naturally. Red Dog Culture House and miHoYoAnime deliver animation that genuinely earns the action and fantasy genres here. The fights carry emotional stakes, not just visual flash. If you enjoyed the mythological depth of The Legend of Hei but want something darker and more politically layered, this is worth your time. At one episode, the commitment is minimal — the payoff isn't.
