📖 SYNOPSIS
After years of being bullied by local delinquents, Masahiro Setagawa has basically given up on himself — running their errands because he doesn't think he's worth protecting. Then he meets Kousuke Ooshiba, a guy the neighborhood calls the 'Bear Killer' because he dismantles gangs like it's nothing. Kousuke steps in, and for the first time, someone actually gives a damn about Masahiro. Fast forward a year — Masahiro starts high school with his buddy Kensuke, who happens to be Kousuke's younger brother. Plot twist: Kousuke is now their math teacher. What starts as gratitude and admiration slowly becomes something more complicated for Masahiro, and the show leans into that tension between wanting to be close to someone and knowing the situation makes it messy. This is a 12-episode TV series that balances genuinely funny moments with quieter, emotional beats about self-worth and figuring out what you actually want. It doesn't rush things, which is refreshing for the genre. If you liked the relationship dynamics in Junjou Romantica or Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, this hits a similar spot but with a slightly more grounded, school-life feel. The teacher-student angle adds real stakes without turning everything melodramatic. It's also got that same energy as Love Stage!! where the humor keeps things from getting too heavy. Worth your time if you want something emotional and youthful without being overwrought.
