📖 SYNOPSIS
Hitori Bocchi, plagued by extreme social anxiety and a fear of interacting with others, begins middle school without her only friend, Yawara Kai, who attends a different school. Bocchi struggles with talking to people, often resorting to extreme measures and surprisingly effective avoidance tactics. Prone to physical symptoms like leg cramps and vomiting under pressure, she also develops elaborate plans and gets overconfident when alone. To maintain her friendship with Kai, Bocchi must navigate the challenges of making new friends, a daunting task given her social difficulties and the new environment of middle school. The series explores her attempts to overcome her anxieties and build relationships.
