Himitsu no Kichi

Synopsis
A quiet guy named Mine forgot to lock his front door, which is really all it takes for his energetic friend Ayano to drag him out into the summer heat to help water her family's cabbage fields. It's a simple, grounded setup — two friends, rural Japan, a garden hose — and then things get a lot more interesting when that hose ends up pointed in the wrong direction. What follows is a two-episode OVA that leans fully into its hentai premise without pretending to be anything else. The rural Japanese setting is actually rendered with some care, and the character animation from Blue bread is expressive enough that Mine and Ayano feel like actual people before things escalate. The second episode shifts to a film club competition centered around a woman named Yuzumon, which gives the OVA a bit of variety in its setup. It's based on a manga, and that source material shows — there's a light, almost slice-of-life energy to the framing before each scene goes where it's going. If you've watched something like Shoujo Sect and appreciated when a hentai OVA bothers to build even a little atmosphere before diving in, this scratches a similar itch. Fans of Kite who don't mind shorter, more relaxed stories without heavy plot will likely find this comfortable territory. Two episodes, no ongoing story to track, straightforward characters. It knows exactly what it is.
