📖 SYNOPSIS

Known as Nube to his students, Meisuke Nueno is the homeroom teacher of Class 5-3 at Dōmori Elementary, and his left hand is literally a demon. Not metaphorically. The thing is called the Demon's Hand, and he uses it to exorcise the ghosts, yokai, and malevolent spirits that keep showing up around his kids. Part 2 of the 2025 reboot picks up right where the first season left off, with new supernatural threats creeping into Dōmori and Nube trying to balance being a caring teacher with being the only thing standing between his students and some genuinely creepy entities. The tone shifts constantly between goofy classroom comedy and surprisingly unsettling horror moments — think a yokai-of-the-week format where some weeks are funny and some weeks are actually disturbing. Studio KAI modernized the 1990s art style in a way that keeps the charm of the original manga without looking dated, and Evan Call's soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in selling both the comedic and darker beats. It's a shounen series rooted in Japanese mythology that doesn't talk down to its audience despite being set in an elementary school.
