📖 SYNOPSIS
"Gun Girls" is set between 2025 and 2030, a period where a global war has decimated the world's population, and warfare has evolved into a game-like battle fought with satellite lasers, drones, and AI. Amidst this technological warfare, a group of young women known as Gun Girls, who wield outdated firearms, enter the fray. The story centers on Carrie, a Gun Girl who has lost her combat memories. Carrie's origin lies in an alien life-form that fused with an M4A1 rifle. This rifle, after being cared for by a youth, transformed into Carrie. The youth's death sparked research into Carrie, leading to the creation of other Gun Girls like Barrett and Shasha. This research propelled humanity into the space age, but also intensified the global conflict as nations sought to control Carrie and her abilities, leading to a formal world war. The anime explores themes of identity, the impact of war, and the intersection of humanity and advanced technology.
