Girls Bravo
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Actual hives — not a metaphor — break out on high school guy Yukinari Sasaki whenever girls get close to him, thanks to years of being bullied by them. It's a rough setup, and then it gets weirder. After a run-in with his childhood friend Kirie, he somehow gets flushed into Seiren, a whole other world that orbits Earth invisibly and happens to be packed almost entirely with women. For a guy with a girl allergy, this is roughly the worst place imaginable. The one exception is Miharu, a cheerful girl whose presence inexplicably doesn't set off his condition, and she ends up following him back to Earth where the real chaos begins. The show is a 2004 TV series from AIC Spirits, running 11 episodes, and it leans hard into slapstick comedy with some romance threading through it. The ecchi humor is front and center, but underneath it Yukinari is genuinely working through his hang-ups, which gives the character dynamics a little more warmth than the genre usually bothers with. If you liked To Love-Ru or Nagasarete Airantou, the energy here is pretty similar — a put-upon guy, a bunch of increasingly chaotic girls, and a lot of comedic misfortune. It's lighthearted and never takes itself seriously, which is exactly what it should be.
