Synopsis

Drifting through a city that feels like it's forgetting her, Mahiru Hiruma moves in a haze of blurred days. She's caught in that loop where every day blurs into the next, weighed down by regret and a quiet kind of despair that's hard to explain to anyone. Then she meets Lilin, this enigmatic figure who seems to already know what Mahiru can't say out loud. Their encounter starts pulling at threads Mahiru has been trying to ignore. This is a music video for Eve's track "Ghost Avenue," directed by Marie Yasui, and it packs a surprising amount of emotional weight into its brief runtime. The animation has this surreal, dreamlike quality — the urban landscape shifts and distorts in ways that mirror Mahiru's psychological state, so the whole thing feels less like watching a story and more like inhabiting someone's headspace. Eve's haunting vocals tie it all together in a way that hits harder than you'd expect from something this short. If you liked the moody, introspective atmosphere of something like Misaki Chronicles or the psychological unease of Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales, this operates in similar territory but compressed into a single sitting. It's closer to poetry than plot, honestly. The kind of thing you watch, sit with for a minute, then watch again because you know you missed something. If you're into psychological themes wrapped in gorgeous, stylized visuals and don't need a full series to feel something, give this one your time.
