Synopsis
Wen Yifan moves back to her hometown for a fresh start at work, walks into a bar, and locks eyes with the one person she absolutely did not want to see again — Sang Yan, the guy she rejected back in high school. He's grown into what people around town call a "first-class handsome guy," which doesn't make things less awkward. Then, because the universe has a sense of humor, they accidentally end up renting the same apartment and becoming housemates. What follows is that slow, messy untangling of old wounds and new tension that hits different when you're an adult and can't just avoid someone in the hallway between classes. This ONA, adapted from a popular Chinese web novel by Pb Animation, leans into a contemporary urban setting — think shared grocery runs, quiet nights on the couch, and conversations that carry way more weight than either person wants to admit. The tone walks a nice line between lighthearted domestic comedy and genuine emotional depth, giving both characters room to grow without rushing anything. If you liked the grounded romantic realism of Ocean Waves or the quiet emotional pull of Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, this is in that same lane — mature characters dealing with real feelings instead of melodrama. It's a second-chance romance where the history between them is the obstacle and the draw at the same time.
