Synopsis
Shyness has swallowed Kaori whole — so much so that she can't even bring herself to talk to the guy she likes. Enter 'Secret Dreams,' a facility that offers virtual reality tailored to your deepest desires — basically a sandbox where you can live out whatever you're too scared to do in real life. For Kaori, that means finally being alone with her Senpai, saying the things she can't say out loud, and maybe figuring out what she actually wants. It's a neat premise, using VR as a mirror for personal inhibitions rather than just as window dressing. The problem is the simulation doesn't go as planned, and a mysterious glitch pulls her deeper into a fantasy world she wasn't prepared for. The tone shifts between quiet romantic longing and something more unsettling as she tries to untangle what's real and what the program is feeding her. For a single-episode OVA from 1998, it's surprisingly layered — less pure shock value, more psychological undercurrent wrapped in an erotic package. If you've watched Cool Devices or Bible Black and wanted something with a bit more narrative focus, this scratches that itch. It's short, self-contained, and doesn't overstay its welcome. Think of it as a late-night curiosity rather than a commitment — one episode, one story, done.
