Crayon Shin-chan Movie 33: Chou Karei! Shakunetsu no Kasukabe Dancers
Oshimeter
Synopsis
A five-year-old who weaponizes his own butt, Shinnosuke Nohara wins a trip to India, and naturally things go sideways almost immediately. He drags the Kasukabe Defense Force along for what should be a fun vacation, but when his quiet friend Bo-chan picks up a weird nose-shaped backpack from a shady shop, everything changes. A mysterious paper from inside the bag latches onto Bo-chan's face and turns him into some kind of power-hungry tyrant. Now Shinnosuke and the gang have to figure out how to save their friend while navigating the chaos of an unfamiliar country. This is the 33rd Crayon Shin-chan movie, which is kind of wild to think about, and it's the first one actually set in India. The cultural backdrop gives it a different energy — bright colors, dance sequences, and a soundtrack anchored by Saucy Dog's track 'Spice' that fits the whole vibe. The dance-focused storyline is a fresh angle for the series, somewhere between goofy and genuinely fun to watch. If you enjoyed the mix of absurd humor and real stakes in Crayon Shin-chan: Burst Serving! Kung Fu Boys, or the group dynamic from The Legend Called: Dance! Amigo!, this one hits similar notes but with a new setting. It's Shin-Ei Animation doing what they do best — letting a kindergartner be chaotic in a world that somehow needs him to save the day. Seinen demographic, so the humor lands a bit differently than you'd expect from a kids' franchise.
