Cosplay Sex Machine
Oshimeter
Synopsis
A mix-up involving an idol DVD leaves convenience store worker Hirau accidentally in possession of a sex android named Seri — and she can transform into literally anyone. Co-workers, movie stars, whoever. That premise alone is doing a lot of heavy lifting, and for a 2-episode OVA from 2009, it actually leans into the comedic side more than you might expect. The tone is light and a bit goofy, which keeps things from feeling too one-note. Hirau is not exactly a schemer — he's more of a bewildered everyman stumbling through increasingly absurd situations with an android who treats each new transformation like it's no big deal. The human-android dynamic has a low-key charm to it, even within a short runtime. If you've seen Yuria 100 Shiki and liked its blend of android-companion comedy with adult content, this scratches a similar itch with less buildup. Fans of Slave Doll will also recognize the vibe — short, unpretentious, and more interested in keeping things fun than building a deep narrative. It's not trying to be anything other than what it is: a short, lighthearted adult OVA with a shapeshifting gimmick that works better than it probably should. Two episodes, no filler, no pretension.
