Synopsis

Imagine a battle royale system where heroes from completely different worlds get paired with human players, and the fights they have together literally keep the whole thing running. Now meet 13 — a hero who wants nothing to do with any of it. No partner, no battles, no interest. The problem is, if you don't fight in Compass 2.0, you get erased from the system entirely. Enter Jin, a total beginner player who somehow decides this antisocial, about-to-be-banished hero is exactly who he wants to team up with. Great instincts, Jin. This is a 12-episode TV series from Lay-duce, based on the mobile game #Compass, and it leans hard into the strategic partnership angle. The setup is straightforward — heroes need players, players need heroes, and battles generate the energy that sustains this whole constructed world. But the tension comes from 13's refusal to play along and whatever larger threat is brewing underneath the surface. There's a crisis building in Compass 2.0, and 13's abilities might actually matter more than anyone expected. The vibe is action-packed with a layer of world-building that rewards paying attention to how the system works. If you liked the survival game tension of Darwin's Game or the "reluctant hero in a collapsing system" energy of Guilty Crown, this hits similar notes. Fans of God Eater's team-based combat dynamics will also find familiar ground here. It's a clean 12 episodes, so no massive time commitment.
