📖 SYNOPSIS
Imagine a simple injury that doesn't just heal, but leaves you compatible with Beethoven's musical genius — which then gets literally transplanted into your body. That's how our main character ends up at Gloria Private Academy, an elite school where gifted students carry the talents of history's greatest composers. Mozart, Chopin, Liszt — they're all here, except they're teenagers navigating school life, rivalries, and a high-stakes music competition.
The premise sounds wild, but Classic★Stars plays it surprisingly straight. This is a 13-episode TV series from Platinum Vision that leans into the camaraderie between its cast as they figure out what it means to carry someone else's legacy while developing their own identities. The early episodes focus on Beethoven adjusting to his new school and bonding with classmates who each channel their composer's 'Gift' in distinct ways. There's genuine warmth in how these characters interact, and the soundtrack — mixing reimagined classical pieces with original tracks — does a lot of heavy lifting for the emotional moments.
If you liked the musical energy and ensemble dynamics of Uta no Prince-sama or the way BanG Dream! builds friendships through performance, this scratches a similar itch but with a classical music twist. It's got that youthful, aspirational vibe where talented people push each other to grow. The 'Gift' system is a neat hook that keeps things from feeling like just another music school anime — there's always the question of where the composer ends and the student begins.
