Charisma
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Picture stuffing seven dudes, each claiming to embody a different form of charisma, all under one roof. That's the whole deal. One dude is the self-proclaimed "Charisma of Self-Love" who can't stop admiring his own reflection. Another is the "Charisma of Sex" serving as a self-appointed World Sexy Ambassador. There's a guy whose entire personality is obedience — he's literally described as a "dog for the people" — and his housemate is the exact opposite, a rebel who refuses everything on principle. The mysterious Fumiya Itou arranged this sharehouse situation, and honestly, the why of it all is part of the fun. The vibe here is pure character comedy. Nobody's saving the world. Nobody's fighting demons. These are just dudes with wildly inflated self-images bouncing off each other in domestic situations, and the humor comes from how seriously they take their personal "charisma" brands while doing completely mundane things. It's a show built on personality clashes and the absurdity of people trying to define themselves through one exaggerated trait. If you liked the over-the-top character dynamics in Ouran High School Host Club or the way Hetalia turns archetypes into comedy gold, this scratches a similar itch. It also has that Daily Lives of High School Boys energy where the humor is just watching idiots be idiots together. The series ties into a broader multimedia project with music and live events, so there's more to dig into if the characters click with you. Low-stakes, personality-driven, and genuinely weird in a comfortable way.
