CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD Divinez DELUXE Finals
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Fresh off surviving a gauntlet called the 'Destined Showdown,' Akina Myodo's got an invitation to something bigger — DELUXE, a tournament built to find the single strongest Vanguard player alive. The catch is the competition includes legends like Kagetsu Yakumo and the return of Michiru Hazama, fighters who treat the game like a philosophy and a battlefield rolled into one. This 12-episode TV series is the ninth season of the Vanguard D Series, and it wastes zero time getting into the thick of it. The early episodes set up Akina questioning why he even plays — not in some melodramatic way, but in the quiet way competitive people sometimes wonder if their obsession is worth the cost. Then the cards hit the table and the strategy kicks in, and you remember why he can't walk away. If you grew up on Yu-Gi-Oh! or Duel Masters and miss that feeling of watching someone pull off an impossible combo at the last second, this scratches that itch with sharper animation and tighter pacing. It's closer to Future Card Buddyfight in structure, with tournament arcs that actually build tension instead of dragging. Kinema Citrus and their co-studios keep the battle sequences visually clean, which matters a lot when the card mechanics get layered. Not a bad entry point if you're curious about modern Vanguard, though knowing the previous arcs adds weight to certain rivalries.
