Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive?
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Armed with resin, tweezers, and a surprisingly steady hand, Yuu Natsume crafts accessories out of preserved flowers — which is already a more interesting hobby than most anime protagonists get. He's been at it since middle school, when his best friend Himari Inuzuka decided to help him sell his creations — and now in their second year of high school, she models and promotes them online. They've got this comfortable dynamic going, the kind where she casually declares that if his dream of opening a shop doesn't work out by thirty, she'll just marry him herself. No big deal, right? Then Yuu runs into Rin Enomoto, a girl wearing one of his old designs, who also happens to be his childhood crush. Himari, being the supportive friend she is, pushes him to reconnect with Rin. But as Yuu and Rin start getting closer, things between the trio get complicated in ways none of them were ready for. The whole thing runs on that slow-burn tension of watching someone realize their feelings aren't what they thought they were, wrapped in lighthearted comedy and genuinely sweet moments. J.C.Staff handles the 12-episode TV series, and the pacing keeps things moving without rushing the emotional beats. If you liked the messy love triangle energy of Toradora or the grounded high school romance of Horimiya, this one hits a similar spot. Fans of Kimi ni Todoke's earnest approach to young love will find a lot to appreciate here too. It's warm, a little bittersweet, and knows exactly what kind of story it wants to tell.
