Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2
📖 SYNOPSIS
Dragged into a fantasy world by accident, Mukouda is nothing more than a regular salaryman with exactly one skill to his name. His only skill? Access to an online supermarket from modern Japan. Sounds useless until you realize he can cook with real ingredients — soy sauce, miso, rice — in a world that's never tasted any of it. Season 1 built the setup: a legendary fenrir wolf named Fel and a cute slime called Sui basically became his traveling companions because his food is that good. Now in this second season, a rare pixie dragon shows up, eats one meal, and refuses to leave. That's the pattern here, and honestly it never stops being funny — absurdly powerful creatures reduced to begging for seconds.
This 12-episode TV series from MAPPA keeps the same cozy energy. There's adventuring and dungeon crawling, but the real draw is watching Mukouda whip up tonkatsu or beef stew while mythical beasts drool in the background. The stakes stay low, the food animation is genuinely gorgeous, and the comedy leans on the absurd power gap between Mukouda and his familiars who could level cities but mostly care about dinner.
If you liked the warm food-focused vibes of Isekai Shokudou or the way Isekai Izakaya made you hungry just watching it, this scratches the same itch but with more adventure baked in. It's comfort food anime in the most literal sense — just a chill watch where the biggest conflict is what to cook next.
