EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off the intensity of Episode 8, 'Revenge,' this episode functions as a deliberate emotional reset — shifting from confrontation to reflection. At the series' midpoint, 'Family' deepens the ensemble by finally giving Daiichi his spotlight, reinforcing Bokurano's pattern of rotating pilot focus and the personal cost each child carries into the cockpit.
