In the chaotic city of Hellsalem's Lot, Leonardo Watch and the Libra organization battle otherworldly threats while he seeks to understand his god-given powers.

📖 SYNOPSIS

A dimensional rift swallowed New York City whole, transforming the metropolis into Hellsalem's Lot — a place where vampires run nightclubs, eldritch horrors ride the subway, and a burger might try to eat you back. Leonardo Watch is a mild-mannered photographer who ended up with the All-seeing Eyes of the Gods, a power he never asked for that cost his sister her sight. He joins Libra, a secret organization of superhumans trying to keep this insane city from tearing itself apart, and honestly he's kind of in over his head most of the time. That's the charm of Kekkai Sensen & Beyond, a 12-episode TV series and the second season from Studio Bones. The animation is fluid and kinetic in a way that makes every fight scene feel like controlled chaos, and the soundtrack — this wild mix of jazz, funk, and rock — gives the whole thing a vibe that's hard to find anywhere else in anime. Each episode is mostly self-contained, so it plays more like a series of wild encounters than one long plot arc. The cast is stacked with eccentric personalities, and the show knows when to be funny and when to land an emotional beat. If you liked the ensemble energy and urban weirdness of Durarara or Baccano, this hits a similar nerve. Fans of Noragami's blend of supernatural action and heart will feel at home too. It's stylish without being shallow, and weird in the best possible way.

✨ MUST WATCH IF...

You love Bones' fluid action animation — the fight choreography stays top-tier across all 12 episodes
Episodic monster-of-the-week stories appeal to you more than one long serialized plot
You enjoyed Season 1's Libra crew and want more character-focused backstory episodes for each member
Urban fantasy settings mixing supernatural chaos with a New York City vibe are your thing

❌ SKIP IF...

You need a strong overarching villain — this season's antagonists are mostly one-off and forgettable
You expected Season 2 to advance Leonardo's quest to restore his sister's eyesight significantly
Rapid-fire scene transitions and dense world details without much explanation frustrate you
