📖 SYNOPSIS
A dimensional rift swallowed New York City whole, transforming the metropolis into Hellsalem's Lot — a place where vampires run nightclubs, eldritch horrors ride the subway, and a burger might try to eat you back. Leonardo Watch is a mild-mannered photographer who ended up with the All-seeing Eyes of the Gods, a power he never asked for that cost his sister her sight. He joins Libra, a secret organization of superhumans trying to keep this insane city from tearing itself apart, and honestly he's kind of in over his head most of the time. That's the charm of Kekkai Sensen & Beyond, a 12-episode TV series and the second season from Studio Bones. The animation is fluid and kinetic in a way that makes every fight scene feel like controlled chaos, and the soundtrack — this wild mix of jazz, funk, and rock — gives the whole thing a vibe that's hard to find anywhere else in anime. Each episode is mostly self-contained, so it plays more like a series of wild encounters than one long plot arc. The cast is stacked with eccentric personalities, and the show knows when to be funny and when to land an emotional beat. If you liked the ensemble energy and urban weirdness of Durarara or Baccano, this hits a similar nerve. Fans of Noragami's blend of supernatural action and heart will feel at home too. It's stylish without being shallow, and weird in the best possible way.
