📖 SYNOPSIS

At Binan High School, five guys get recruited by a pink wombat alien to become magical warriors — complete with transformation sequences, sparkly outfits, and attack names shouted with total sincerity. If that sounds like Sailor Moon but with dudes in a hot spring club, yeah, that's exactly what this is. Yumoto Hakone and his four clubmates become the Battle Lovers, defending Earth from the Earth Conquest Club, a rival group of pretty boys who want to spread negativity and general bad vibes. The whole thing plays out like a magical girl show run through a comedy filter, where the boys are just as confused about their situation as you'd expect teenage guys forced into sparkly costumes to be. This movie celebrates the franchise's tenth anniversary, so if you've been following the Bouei-bu series, it's a reunion. If you haven't, it's still a solid entry point into one of the more genuinely funny parody anime out there. The humor sits somewhere between Ouran High School Host Club's self-aware absurdity and Gintama's willingness to commit to a bit way longer than seems reasonable. Studio Comet keeps the animation colorful and the energy loose. It never asks you to take it seriously, which is kind of the whole point. The boys fight monsters born from everyday frustrations, cure them with love, and then go back to lounging in the bath. It's dumb in the best possible way.
