Beheneko: The Elf-Girl's Cat is Secretly an S-Ranked Monster!
Oshimeter
Synopsis
After dying in a blaze of glory battling demons, a holy knight gets reincarnated as a Behemoth — one of the most powerful S-class monsters in existence. The catch? He's a juvenile Behemoth, which means he looks exactly like a small orange cat. An elf adventurer named Aria finds him in a dungeon, thinks he's an adorable stray kitten, and names him Tama. Now this former holy knight is living as a house pet, riding around on a cute elf girl's shoulder while secretly being strong enough to obliterate anything that threatens her. The comedy pretty much writes itself from there. Tama can absorb skills from creatures he encounters, so he keeps getting stronger, but nobody around him realizes they're looking at a walking catastrophe disguised as a housecat. The dynamic between Tama trying to protect Aria while maintaining his cover as a normal pet drives most of the fun, and the show leans into the absurdity without taking itself too seriously. It's a 12-episode TV series from Zero-G and Saber Works, adapted from a seinen manga, so expect the ecchi elements that come with the territory. If you liked the monster reincarnation angle from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime or the creature-perspective storytelling in So I'm a Spider, So What?, this hits a similar groove but with a more comedic, laid-back tone. Re:Monster fans will find familiar ground too. It's light, it's funny, and the cat gimmick honestly kind of works.
