Alien from the Darkness

Somewhere in the void of space, the all-female crew of the transport ship Muse picks up a distress signal from a drifting cargo vessel. When they board, they find the men dead — desiccated husks — and the women naked, unconscious, and covered in green residue. The only recoverable survivor is Flair Mytomeyer, pulled from a cold sleep pod and brought back to the Muse. Then the unease sets in. This is a single-episode OVA from 1997 that leans hard into the Alien-style formula: isolated crew, unknown threat, mounting dread. The all-female crew dynamic gives it a slightly different texture than the usual genre setup, and the horror here is genuinely unsettling rather than just gratuitous window dressing. It's short, it's dark, and it wastes no time getting into the tension. Being a hentai title, it carries explicit content alongside the sci-fi horror, so that's worth knowing going in.
