Synopsis
After what feels like forever clawing his way up the pitching roster at Seidou High, Eijun Sawamura has finally reached the moment where it all comes to a head. Diamond no Ace: Act II Second Season picks up the continuation of Act II, following Sawamura as he fights to cement himself as the true ace of the team heading into the most critical tournaments of his high school baseball career. The kid who showed up as a loud, unpolished southpaw has genuinely grown into something dangerous on the mound, and watching that payoff after hundreds of episodes is something special. This TV series, animated by OLM and set to air in 2026, adapts more of the original manga for its shounen audience, and if the source material is any indication, the stakes only get heavier from here. The team dynamics, the rivalries, the pressure of carrying a number on your back — it all hits different when you've been following these characters this long. If you liked Haikyuu for its team chemistry and emotional gut punches during big matches, or if Major scratched that itch of watching a pitcher's long-term development, Diamond no Ace operates in that same lane but with a roster deep enough to make every game feel like a war. Fair warning though — this is deep into a long-running series, so you're looking at a real commitment to get here. Worth it if you're into baseball anime at all.

Quick Takes
View all 52 takesMiyuki and sawamura locking in together is my favorite baseball duo fr HAHA every pitch had “one mistake and it’s over” energy. The tension with a runner on second and no outs had me stressed like i was on the team 💀
Sawamura stepped onto the mound looking calm but the pressure was actually insane. Seido vs ichidai always feels like everybody’s lifespan drops by 10 years
