He's inhabiting a figure with centuries of dark mythology attached to him, and he has to navigate that reputation while trying to understand a world where the old gods have fallen and something worse might be stirring in the deep. He assembles a crew, each with their own secrets, and starts pushing into waters no one returns from — uncovering fragments of a history the world would rather forget. The tone leans heavily into dark fantasy and nautical horror. Think the oppressive mystery of Made in Abyss but set on open water, or if Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet decided to go full gothic. There's a slow-burn quality to the world-building that rewards patience, layering dread and curiosity in equal measure. If you liked the haunted ocean vibes of Fena: Pirate Princess but wanted something with more teeth, this one's worth keeping on your radar.
