📖 SYNOPSIS
"A Dog of Flanders" tells the story of Nello Tarth, a poor orphan living with his grandfather Jehan near Antwerp. Nello dreams of becoming an artist, inspired by the works of Rubens. He befriends Patrash, a mistreated working dog, and the two form a close bond. Nello also befriends Alois Cojez, the daughter of the wealthiest man in the village. However, Nello's artistic aspirations are met with disapproval, particularly from Alois's father, who views him as lazy. Despite facing poverty and the villagers' ignorance, Nello remains determined to achieve his dream of becoming an artist and earn their respect, all while struggling to make a living. The anime explores themes of friendship, perseverance, and the pursuit of dreams in the face of adversity.
