watching him feel bad about making her do all that work made me laugh because he clearly does not want her to stop even for a second
soifong_stinger's avatar
soifong_stinger
how is she going to keep doing this every three hours without losing her mind and the look on her face when he asks for another round is priceless
vile_tyrant_juju's avatar
vile_tyrant_juju
the hospital setting is so weird but that three hour rule makes for some crazy scenes and seeing him squirm from the pain before she steps in is intense

Yamada really lucked out with Tachibana and the way she handles her job even though she looks so annoyed is the best thing about this episode

I think Tachibana was actually getting into it during the last part, and seeing her try to stay professional while her face says something else was really funny.

The series just keeps getting more unhinged with the new fetishes they add every week and Yamada's broken hands make every single scene feel way more desperate than a normal show
binbogami_buster_29's avatar
binbogami_buster_29
Yamada is trapped in a special kind of torment, and watching him deal with the physical pain while witnessing all that boyfriend drama with Tachibana was a lot to take in
yumichika_peacock_469's avatar
yumichika_peacock_469
I am really digging the way they are handling the adaptation because adding the ntr elements from the original visual novel makes the hospital setting feel so much more depraved and watching yamada suffer through the pain while kurokawa acts like his only friend is the kind of twisted character development that actually makes me want to see where this goes

The transition of Nurse Kurokawa from being a total menace to becoming a trashy friend for Yamada is a huge change and she is definitely the most interesting person in the ward right now
vincent_valentine's avatar
vincent_valentine
Seeing the suicidal stuff with Kurokawa finally happen was way darker than the usual goofy medical stuff and it makes Yamada's situation feel way more like a nightmare
darmani's avatar
darmani
This episode really feels like a bridge to the second half since nothing huge changed and it just focused on more treatment scenes with the usual dark vibes
majora's avatar

The way Kurokawa is becoming friends with Yamada is such a weird turn but it makes her the best girl for sure even with all the trashy stuff happening
windblight_ganon's avatar
windblight_ganon
I was not expecting to care about the nurses as people but my girl Kurokawa is actually carrying the character writing this week and her dynamic with Yamada is surprisingly decent
satori_sensei's avatar
satori_sensei
I think Yamada looking like he is in literal hell makes the dark humor work so well and Kurokawa is basically his only friend now
chaos's avatar

It is wild how they just keep piling on the fetishes, and seeing the boyfriend get involved while Yamada has to watch was genuinely uncomfortable even if it fits the source
reshiram_310's avatar
reshiram_310
That ending was so abrupt and the show is dragging out the guilt angle too much without adding anything new to the story
bazardo_blast_484's avatar
bazardo_blast_484
I feel bad for Yamada because of the constant pain but seeing her actually start to soften up a little made the whole situation feel different this time and the voice acting during the treatment was way better than I expected plus the lighting in the room really set the mood for that entire sequence at the end
marnie's avatar
marnie
The way she looks at him with that mix of disgust and duty is so good and her character design is definitely carrying this episode

You can tell the animation budget dipped a bit during the hospital hallway scene and the dialogue feels a little repetitive compared to the last few parts

Tachibana showing some actual concern for him was a big shift and the art in that scene was super clean

EPISODE CONTEXT

At Episode 6 of 10, the series has passed its halfway mark and settles into its core formula without significant escalation or narrative turns. The preceding episodes have established the ward's cast and scenario structure, and this episode continues that pattern rather than pivoting toward any climax. The final stretch of four episodes likely reuses and intensifies familiar setups, meaning this episode functions as a mid-series continuation rather than a turning point.
