This episode turned into a weird slice of life drama about hospital staffing issues and the title was easy to forget for a second

Tachibana is such a mean character, but the way she still does her job while hating every second of it makes the comedy work

Seeing the other nurses ignore the emergency light just to complain about their shift is the most realistic part of this whole show

The disconnect between the name and the actual hospital drama is the funniest thing about this entire episode

Tachibana telling him to stop pressing that button was hilarious because she looked so done with her life

I felt so bad for Yamada when he started crying about the guilt and Tachibana just stood there looking disgusted

Watching everyone be so terrible to each other makes the comedy land perfectly, especially when you see how miserable the staff members are in this dump of a clinic.

This show is basically a trick to get people to watch a documentary about a nurse having the worst week of her life and it is hilarious
matsumoto_melon_467's avatar

Tachibana looks like she wants to jump off the roof every single time she has to deal with the patients and that vibe is too real

I came here because of that Trash Taste clip and expected something way more cursed but this version is just a weirdly grounded story about a girl stuck in a terrible workplace. It is actually kind of funny seeing everyone act so awful to each other and the title feels like a total bait and switch once you realize what is actually happening.

I still cannot get over how family friendly this all ages version is compared to what the internet said about the original source

You go in expecting the title but you stay for the depressing medical life and the dark jokes about how much this hospital sucks

Everyone in this hospital is such a bad person and that is the only reason this show is even remotely watchable

The title makes it look like it belongs in the gutter but then it turns into a total drama about a nurse dealing with a nightmare hospital job

It cracks me up that this feels like a miserable day at a job and the title is basically a giant prank on everyone expecting something else

That close up shot of the medical equipment really sold the hospital setting and Tachibana looked so tired of his constant complaining this time

Every time Yamada tries to apologize, it makes the whole situation so much more awkward and it makes their dynamic interesting. Tachibana losing her composure for once felt like a huge win for me, especially since she usually stays so professional and annoyed, and seeing her reaction to his broken hands failing to hold the cup was a total riot

Yamada trying to apologize while she was busy was hilarious because he is so awkward even when he is in total pain

The way Tachibana acts like she hates every second of the treatment but still does her job is why this show works and she was a lot more aggressive today

I felt so bad for Yamada when his hands were shaking and Tachibana just looked at him with that cold stare it really makes the whole dynamic work

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode arrives at the precise halfway mark of a ten-episode run, following four episodes that established the ward's core characters and their recurring dynamics. At Episode 5, the series is past its introductory phase and operating from an established baseline, making this a continuation of what preceded rather than a turning point. It sets the stage for the second half of the season, where character interactions are expected to deepen toward an eventual conclusion in Episode 10.
