Usopp having a 500 million bounty was PEAK.

My skin was crawling when the citizens started attacking each other because of those parasite strings and seeing them cry while their hands moved against their will was brutal

Luffy yelling that he is going to kick Doflamingos ass is the only thing keeping the hope alive right now while the rest of the island turns into a massive slaughterhouse

Law looked like he saw a ghost when the birdcage went up and it makes you wonder what kind of horrors he watched this guy do in the past

Doflamingo acting like he was defeated just to pull out this extermination game is the most twisted thing he has done so far and it shows how much he loves watching people suffer

I still have chills from seeing those strings closing in and cutting through everything and Doflamingo is a total monster for trapping the whole island like that

Pica is out here moving entire mountains while everyone below is panicking and Doflamingo just sits there smiling through all the blood and screaming

Dellinger is way more of a threat than he has any right to be and watching him take out Ideo so fast was actually kind of scary

The way those strings cut off the entire world and trapped everyone in a cage is such a nightmare and Doflamingo is clearly out of his mind

My head is spinning after that reveal because I really did not think we would see Sabo show up and just incinerate the entire floor like that

Doflamingo activating the birdcage is such a coward move but it really shows how evil he is, and seeing Usopp being treated like a literal god by all the toys he saved is hilarious to watch

Dellinger just casually kicking everyone around the Colosseum like they are nothing is not something that seemed possible from a subordinate like him today

Law looks totally helpless right now and it is painful to watch Doflamingo treat him like a piece of furniture while he sets up that insane death game

Sabo finally meeting Robin and wearing that Flame Flame fruit is the only good thing happening while the rest of Dressrosa is basically becoming a huge slaughterhouse

Pica shifting the entire city like it was made of toy blocks is terrifying because those buildings were just flying everywhere and nobody could stop him

The animation for that Haki punch from Doflamingo was so clean and it really felt like Luffy stood zero chance of blocking it

Pica moving the entire palace and the ground around it was such a massive scale move and it makes the situation feel hopeless

I am still shaking after seeing Sabo use Ace's powers to blast that hole in the arena, and having him back after all these years is massive. He looks like such a powerhouse now, but seeing Law just sitting there in chains while the whole island turns into a giant cage is making me really stressed out for him

Fujitora catching those strings was cool, but it is starting to get frustrating watching him just stand there while the city literally falls apart around his men

Those strings taking over the citizens and forcing them to kill their own friends is some of the darkest stuff we have seen in this whole series

EPISODE CONTEXT

Deep in the Dressrosa arc, Episode 680 follows the intensifying revelations of Episode 679 and marks the moment the conflict transitions from political intrigue and tournament battles into an island-wide survival scenario. Doflamingo's grip on Dressrosa is fully weaponized here, forcing every faction to react. This episode directly sets the stage for the desperate counteroffensives and climactic showdowns that define the arc's back half.
