The way Doflamingo just laughed off getting his head chopped off was absolutely chilling and then he pulls out that birdcage move and everyone is in serious trouble now

Bartolomeo losing his mind over God Usopp was the funniest part of my day and I love how much of a dedicated fanboy he is for the crew

Sabo using dragon claw while holding that flame was a huge visual and his new title as chief of staff makes him sound so powerful

I can finally breathe now that Sabo has the fruit and seeing him use Ace's old powers made me choke up a bit and it feels right to have that flame back in the family

My mind is completely blown by the Doflamingo twist because I really thought Kyros had ended it right there and then but that laugh gave me actual shivers. Sabo getting the Mera Mera no Mi feels like such a perfect way to honor Ace and I cannot believe Robin kept his survival a secret from Luffy for that whole time skip.

Kyros is an absolute beast for taking out Buffalo and Baby 5 with only one leg, and his fighting style is so much more efficient than I expected.

Nico Robin really knew Sabo was alive for two years and did not say a single word to Luffy and that is actually such a wild choice for her to make
bloo_balloon's avatar

Sabo having Ace's fruit actually made me tear up a bit. It is such a perfect way for him to carry on that legacy and seeing the fire again felt right

Doflamingo just got his head cut off and then stood right back up and started that birdcage thing and Law looked actually terrified for the first time

Bartolomeo realizing Usopp was Sogeking is the kind of fanboy energy that makes this show great, especially with the chaos of the birdcage starting

How utterly terrifying is that birdcage? Seeing Law, who's usually so composed, look genuinely terrified made my stomach drop; I'm seriously worried about what Doflamingo is planning for everyone now.

Sabo being the number two guy in the revolutionary army is such a massive reveal and it makes so much sense why he was able to take the fruit

It feels a bit wrong seeing someone else with the flame fruit but if it had to be anyone then Sabo is the only one who deserves to carry that legacy

My stomach dropped when Doflamingo survived getting decapitated because that string clone trick is terrifying and now the whole island is trapped under those strings
hatsune_hatsukoi's avatar

The way those former toys are treating Usopp like a literal deity is the funniest thing in this arc so far and seeing him accidentally lead a whole army is perfect
kamaitachi_killer_60's avatar

Sabo eating the mera mera no mi is so emotional because seeing Ace fire back in action is heavy but it feels right for him to be the one holding that power now

Doflamingo's cackle, even after his head was separated from his body, seriously gave me chills; I can't even comprehend how someone can be that utterly twisted. And then to see that terrifying Birdcage activate right after, I just felt a surge of panic for everyone trapped in Dressrosa.

Sabo eating the fruit and using that Hiken move felt right and he really is the one to carry that power after Ace

Law looking like he wants to die because of how chaotic Luffy is being during this serious fight is the funniest part of the episode

I can't believe Robin kept Sabo being alive a secret from Luffy all that time and part of me is mad but she probably had a reason to keep it quiet

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode follows directly from the Flare-Flare Fruit's dramatic reemergence in Episode 678, pivoting focus to the Revolutionary Army's deepening involvement in Dressrosa's power struggle. Sabo's full introduction here anchors the mid-arc transition from colosseum battles to broader geopolitical conflict. It functions as critical setup for Episode 680, where Doflamingo's 'Birdcage' plan is unveiled and the stakes escalate dramatically.
