Absolutely loved the over-dramatisation of God Usopp 😭 This ep had a perfect mix of both comedy and emotion. Sabo claiming Ace's devil fruit and using fire fist was an amazing payoff

Rebecca finally calling out for her father was the most moving part of the whole day. It is crazy how much weight that one memory holds after being forgotten for a decade

Kyros finally being remembered by Rebecca was such a gut punch because he spent so many years right next to her as a toy. That reunion felt so earned after all the suffering

The Doflamingo crew has some strange loyalty even when their leader gets his head cut off and the island is in total chaos. Everyone is staying to fight instead of running which feels like it might drag things out

I had to pause the video when Sabo took that bite because the legacy of the Mera Mera no Mi is so important to me. Seeing the fire return felt like a part of Ace came back to life and then the episode just pivots to God Usopp being born which was so funny. Dressrosa is finally moving at a great pace

I still cannot believe Sabo has Ace's fruit now and seeing him use Fire Fist for the first time made me scream at my screen. It felt like Ace was right there in the coliseum again

The way Usopp just accidentally became a god is the funniest thing this show has ever done. Those toys really think he did that on purpose and his face the whole time was priceless

When Sabo finally ate Ace's Devil Fruit, I actually cheered out loud, it just felt so right for it to stay in the family. And holy smokes, my jaw dropped watching him completely obliterate the arena with that first punch, Doflamingo is seriously gonna lose it when he finds out what happened to his Colosseum.

Sabo is a complete monster even without the fruit, but adding those flames makes him terrifying for the villains. Seeing the coliseum collapse under his power was a great way to end the tournament

I got chills when the light hit Usopp and everyone started calling him a god. My boy has finally lied his way into actually having an army of thousands of followers for real

The transition from the epic Fire Fist moment to Usopp being hailed as a deity was perfect timing. One Piece really knows how to go from high stakes action to pure comedy

Sabo destroying the entire arena with one fire fist was the highlight of the whole tournament arc. Seeing Ace's power alive again through his brother feels like the perfect way to move forward

Usopp's face as those former toys bowed down to him, chanting "God Usopp," absolutely killed me! I couldn't stop laughing; it felt like such a classic One Piece moment, and I just know he was secretly loving every second of that ridiculous worship even while freaking out.

The transition from the emotional fire fist moment to the absolute chaos of God Usopp was handled so well, and it really shows why the Dressrosa arc is so special

Sabo really just walked in and ended the tournament by blowing up the floor and seeing the fire fist back in action makes the loss of Ace feel a little easier

You have to laugh at the absolute irony of Usopp becoming a legend just by making a scary face and getting beaten up by a little girl

I was literally shouting at my screen when Sabo took a bite of the fruit and seeing the flames come back felt so right and it is crazy how quickly he mastered that fire fist and just nuked the entire colosseum floor to get everyone downstairs and the whole god usopp thing had me dying because of the sheer luck involved with the light hitting him

I actually started tearing up when Sabo yelled Fire Fist because seeing Ace’s fruit back in the family is everything I wanted from this arc

EPISODE CONTEXT

Deep in the Dressrosa arc, Episode 678 follows the aftermath of a major Colosseum showdown and capitalizes on its outcome by shifting power dynamics among the key players on the island. The events here directly build on the previous episode's climactic moments while establishing critical new stakes that will fuel the next phase of the conflict against Doflamingo's forces. This episode serves as both a reward for patient fans and a launching pad for the escalating battles ahead.
