Smoker taking such a beating from Vergo shows how much of a monster that guy is, but Smoker just won't stay down no matter how much blood he loses

I can already tell Momonosuke is going to be important because Vegapunk calling that fruit a failure makes no sense when the kid can literally fly and make clouds

Zoro was actually terrifying when he stepped in to help Robin and that look he gave Monet makes you think he might finally stop holding back against women

Luffy finding a pink dragon in the trash and then trying to eat it is just the most Luffy thing ever and Momonosuke seems so terrified of everything poor little guy

Seeing Smoker go that hard against Vergo for the sake of his men proves he is one of the only good marines left in this world

Momonosuke is kind of a weird addition to the crew for this arc but seeing a pink dragon flying around is definitely a choice

I am so curious about this artificial fruit that Vegapunk made and why it was even considered a failure in the first place because that dragon looks pretty real to me, Caesar talks a big game but you can tell he is just jealous of the actual genius behind those experiments and I hope Luffy protects the kid

You have to wonder if Caesar is actually telling the truth about being on the same level as Vegapunk since his dragon seems like a weird glitch

My heart actually broke for Momonosuke when he was crying about being hungry and the lab stuff Caesar did to those kids is just sick

I can't stop laughing at Luffy trying to snack on that tiny pink dragon and he was just so hungry he didn't even care it was a kid

I was surprised that Momonosuke could actually talk in that form and those weird flashes of Doflamingo have me really worried about what happened to him back in Dressrosa or wherever

The reveal that the dragon is actually a kid named Momonosuke makes those hunger pains way more depressing, especially since he refused the candy

Smoker was actually landing hits on Vergo and the way they animated the haki clashing looked so much better than the previous fights

Dragons in One Piece are weird, but Momonosuke is a fun addition and his pride is funny around someone as blunt as Luffy

I swear, that little pink dragon was seriously adorable, it just brought a huge grin to my face, but I'm completely baffled why Vegapunk would ever call its devil fruit a 'failure' – what kind of insane criteria does he even use for success?

You see that little dragon and think he is just a pet but then you realize he is actually a traumatized kid and it gets real sad

Why was the pacing so bad today and they barely moved the story forward at all even if the fight scenes looked pretty decent for once

Smoker getting beat down by Vergo is hard to watch and the fight in the SAD room is getting so desperate

It hit me pretty hard seeing Momonosuke starving and crying in that dark hole because he is just a scared little kid in a big kimono

Smoker is finally holding his own against Vergo and the animation for their haki clashing looks really good

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the heated confrontations of Episode 610, this installment pivots toward world-building and character introduction, weaving Momonosuke into the fabric of the crew's current challenges. It serves as a bridge episode that deepens the mystery of the ongoing arc while maintaining forward momentum through parallel battle threads. The groundwork laid here — particularly around Momonosuke's origins and the threats closing in on the Straw Hats — becomes increasingly critical in the episodes that follow.
