The art is genuinely so pretty to look at especially when Anne is looking out the window and you can see how much she misses her friend during the exam

I found myself smiling when Anne got all flustered after seeing Grea again, and the animation on their expressions during that reunion was just stunning

That piano music during the quiet scenes was so beautiful and it made the whole episode feel so peaceful while Anne was waiting for Grea to come back

The way Anne was just moping around while Grea was taking her test was actually so cute and it showed how much they need each other even when they are not doing anything big

I felt so bad for Anne just sitting there and waiting for Grea to finish that test because you could tell she was totally lost without her and it was really sweet

The mystery is reaching a point where nobody can be trusted without that red truth and Beatrice using such a direct method to kill people makes the whole thing feel way more grounded and scary even with all the talk about magic being miracles or just plain luck and the scene where Ange finally meets Battler was actually very touching

Whether you think magic is just luck or something real, that save by Amakusa was timed perfectly to keep Ange alive against Katsumi

Maria's diary actually made me care about what happens to Ange and seeing the connections to Beatrice's writing felt like a huge turning point

Those head shots were simple and terrifying and they really changed the whole mood of the island for the worse

I still don't have any sympathy for Beatrice because of how cruel she is but seeing her suffer feels a bit different now that the story is moving forward

The red truth is the only thing keeping me sane because these bodies could be literally anyone if we don't get a confirmation, and it makes the identity stuff so stressful

I thought the start with Ange was dragging a bit but everything changed when she found Maria's diary and the Witch Hunt stuff started happening

The reunion between Ange and Battler was actually beautiful and it made so much sense why he reacted that way after seeing her again

Amakusa showing up right when Ange needed him was like a miracle and it really makes you wonder if that counts as her magic or just luck
parella's avatar

Beatrice blowing off half their heads was so brutal and effective and the mystery just gets more confusing every time someone new dies without any red truth confirmation

mizuhara passing out from the sheer intensity at the end was the highlight and it really capped off the manager dynamic perfectly

It was a lot to take in when Honami finally lost her composure, and I thought the way her voice changed during the climax made it feel way more real than the usual idol stuff.

the animation during the last sequence looked a bit choppy compared to the first episode and it kind of took away from the whole climax with mizuhara

i was actually surprised by how much kazuya just let her take charge through most of that and then he finally broke her at the very end

The stuff about the precipus adds some cool history to the world, but the pace dragged a bit, especially while the group was just hanging out and talking on the ship for so long

EPISODE CONTEXT

Arriving at the two-thirds mark of a six-episode series, this episode builds directly on the mounting pressures established in Episode 3, where Honami and Seika first began feeling the strain of balancing their aspirations with the demands placed on them. Episode 4 deepens the consequences of those early compromises, pushing both characters toward a turning point. With only two episodes remaining, the decisions made here carry increasing weight, setting the stage for the pivotal confrontations and resolutions the final stretch will deliver.
