All those Soul Reapers teaming up with their spirits to blast the Gillians looked cool and it made this filler feel worth watching

When all the captains and spirits, even the usually bickering ones, stood side-by-side against that horrible sludge, I actually got chills. It made me wonder if this kind of unity could last even after the immediate threat is gone, considering how much they've been through.

Renji getting roasted by his own sword in the middle of a war is the most Renji thing ever and Zabimaru has zero chill

Byakuya coming back feels weird after everything he did and he still seems untrustworthy even if he is fighting Gillians now

I was actually enjoying the fight scenes with the Zanpakuto spirits but then Ichigo got sucked into that disgusting sludge at the end. It feels like the pace is dragging a bit because they spent so much time trying to close that portal and I just want to see what Muramasa is actually planning next because things are getting messy.

I had so much fun watching Renji argue with Saru and Hebi during that fight and those three together are always comedy gold

I seriously gasped when Renji and Byakuya showed up; it was such a dramatic relief to see them after all that tension, and honestly, the animation for the 6th division's return was surprisingly stellar for a filler episode, making their arrival feel even more impactful.

Watching Muramasa transform into that grotesque monster sent chills down my spine; it really felt like this whole situation for the Soul Society, which was already on the brink, just plunged into utter chaos and I can't see how they pull themselves out of this.

As the 6th division finally materialized on screen, my blood was pumping when that epic music swelled up, truly feeling like a grand, almost fated entrance for them. It completely set the stage, making me remember all the intense battles they've been in before and just how much is at stake right now.

Muramasa just wanted to be needed, and I swear, Koga’s callous rejection of him after all their history was truly gut-wrenching. It made me question if Koga ever truly valued their connection, or if it was just a means to an end for him the whole time.

I honestly didn't expect to get so invested in this zanpakuto rebellion arc, but watching the spirits and Soul Reapers team up against those massive hollow swarms was such a surprisingly dramatic turn. And seeing Ikkaku and Hozukimaru finally fight in perfect sync like that just made me realize how much their bond has deepened; they're truly partners now, which is pretty compelling.

Soi Fon was just ruthless with her insults, seriously! I almost felt bad for the other captains, but watching her butt heads with them during all the chaos was so perfectly Bleach, I couldn't help but laugh at her absolute lack of patience.

I honestly found myself chuckling at Hozukimaru and Ikkaku yelling about 'manliness' during their fight, even though it was serious; it just proved to me again how much their stubborn pride defines them, almost like they're two sides of the same hotheaded coin.

I couldn't help but crack up when Zabimaru started roasting the other squads, calling them a total comedy act; it's so wild seeing how distinct all the zanpakuto spirits really are, and it makes me wonder what they're truly thinking behind the scenes.

I'm seriously getting fed up with Ichigo; why is he still refusing to use his hollow mask against Muramasa when he's clearly getting overwhelmed? It's so frustrating to watch him struggle this much, I just wish he'd unleash that power and finish this already, especially after seeing how effective it's been before.

I actually enjoyed seeing Sode no Shirayuki and Tobiume going back and forth, even while they were totally wrecking hollows. It was a nice, unexpected touch of personality for them, and honestly, it made this filler arc feel a bit more engaging for me than some of the others.

I'd been on the edge of my seat wondering how they'd possibly turn things around, so seeing Byakuya and Renji finally make their appearance truly felt like a dramatic, much-needed breath of fresh air. My heart was pounding, knowing that with both of them back, we were finally about to see some real action and the tide was about to turn.

I just love how Byakuya doesn't even flinch, just lets Senbonzakura do all the dramatic work, which honestly makes his power feel even more immense to me. Watching them effortlessly take down those Gillians was so incredibly satisfying, it's like he knew they never stood a chance.

I honestly didn't expect to see Renji in such a light, but his ridiculous back-and-forth with the girl and those baboon spirits was just so surprisingly human. It made me realize he's not just some loud, hot-headed fighter; there's definitely a more complex, almost tender side to him I hadn't given him credit for.

I was genuinely surprised when Renji pulled out that kido to take down Zabimaru; it really hammered home how much he's matured as a fighter, not just relying on brute force anymore. It felt like a deliberate choice to show us how far he's come since his days as a hot-headed subordinate.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting deep in the anime-original Zanpakutō Rebellion arc, this episode follows the major reveal about Muramasa's true identity and pivots toward large-scale combat as Shinigami rally against the Gillian invasion. It serves as a bridge episode, reuniting key fighters and building collective momentum toward the arc's climactic resolution in the episodes ahead. As filler, it's skippable for manga-purists, but it contributes meaningful action beats within the arc's endgame stretch.
