It is weird how these random assassins can just show up in the human world, especially when the stakes feel so much lower than what we just finished watching.

I actually thought the animation on those flower petals looked decent, but it is hard to care about the fight when you know none of this matters for the actual story.

everyone said to skip this arc and now i see why because rurichiyo is just shouting every five minutes and the story is not moving anywhere at all

i am trying to be patient with these filler arcs because i want to see everything but man this princess rurichiyo is testing me because she is so loud and demanding for no reason and ichigo looks like he would rather be anywhere else and i feel the same because the crimson flower zanpakuto thing was just not that cool

those two guards have such strange designs and seeing them use their powers for the first time was fine but the whole princess bodyguard plot is just dragging on too long

rurichiyo is actually the most frustrating character they have ever added to this show and her complaining makes it so hard to get through this episode without wanting to skip ahead

it is so jarring to go from the intensity of the hueco mundo stuff to watching ichigo deal with princess drama in the human world and it just feels pointless

I'd built up this whole idea of the blooming flowers zanpakuto being a grand, devastating force, so its actual appearance left me scratching my head. Compared to the sheer power and drama of the Soul Reaper fights we've seen, it felt surprisingly unthreatening and, honestly, a bit ridiculous.

watching enryu try to communicate without talking is the only part of this filler arc that is even remotely interesting but even that can not save the slow pace

why are we spending so much time on these random assassins when the main plot was just getting good and now ichigo is basically a bodyguard for a spoiled princess

Rurichiyo's storyline is really testing my patience right now; it just feels like we're dragging our feet with her, and I'm itching for the actual drama to ignite. All this buildup with Amagai's sinister Bakkoto weapons and that sleek design makes me wonder if this whole princess arc is just a dramatic detour before the real danger explodes.

Seeing Ichigo totally lose his cool over something as mundane as carrots, especially with the Espada still looming, just throws me off so much. I keep wondering if this really needs to be happening right now; it feels so out of place given everything else that's at stake, and honestly, it's making this whole section of the arc feel like a detour we didn't need.

Ugh, this filler with the spoiled girl felt like such a drag, especially after the Bount arc, which I thought was bad enough. It totally killed the dramatic build-up of the Hueco Mundo invasion; I just couldn't get invested in her story when Ichigo's friends were in such serious danger.

Why did we have to spend so much time watching that princess complain about food? It pulled me right out of the intensity of the struggle, and I just kept thinking about Orihime, still alone and in danger somewhere. It felt so wrong to have such trivial drama when her fate is still up in the air.

It's tough for me to invest in this Captain Amagai arc when Rurichiyo's constant whining, even about mundane things like vegetables, makes me miss the raw intensity of the Hueco Mundo fights we just endured. The only thing genuinely keeping my eyes glued to the screen is the mystery and potential power of those Bakkoto weapons.

Ugh, Princess Rurichiyo's whole family drama is just dragging everything down, and I'm honestly so frustrated because it feels like the real story with Ichigo and the Soul Society just isn't moving at all. It's like, I get that she's a princess and all, but this side plot is totally stealing time from the actual drama I'm here for.

I was genuinely expecting the Bakkoto reveal to kick off something seriously intense, a real game-changer for the arc, but then Rurichiyo’s ridiculous meltdown over a few carrots just completely pulled me out of it. it felt like all the dramatic tension I'd built up just instantly evaporated, and I honestly couldn't believe they'd trivialize such a big moment with something so silly.

Ugh, Rurichiyo throwing a tantrum over carrots honestly tested my patience. I was just sitting there itching to get back to the intense, life-or-death battles unfolding in Hueco Mundo because that's where my heart really is right now.

Those long school and arcade scenes seriously threw me off, I wasn't expecting such a tonal whiplash from Bleach. It made me genuinely struggle to care about the assassin trying to get the princess later; where was the usual desperation? I just couldn't shake the feeling that the tension wasn't there like it usually is for our heroes, and it left me wondering what the show was even doing.

When Kenryu's Shikai made those flowers bloom right out of the assassin, I genuinely felt a shiver, man—it was this weird mix of grotesque and hauntingly beautiful. My mind just kept spinning, trying to reconcile that bizarre, almost elegant attack with the raw, brutal fights I'm used to seeing in Bleach.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 171 continues the anime-original Kasumiōji arc, building directly on the previous episode's revelation of Rurichiyo's noble lineage and the assassination plots targeting her. This installment deepens the group dynamics between Ichigo, Rurichiyo, Kenryū, and Enryū while introducing internal conflicts that will carry forward. It sets the stage for upcoming episodes where political tensions within the Soul Society's divisions begin to surface, escalating the arc's stakes.
